We're so excited to present TV Under the Stars, our annual Outdoor Screening & Music Showcase, at the Hotel San Jose on Friday, June 7! We'll have live music, amazing snacks and drinks, community organizations, and a sun-down screening of a trio of NBC comedies BROOKLYN NINE-NINE, THE GOOD PLACE, and SUPERSTORE.
We're even more excited that Lauren Ash (SUPERSTORE) and Melissa Fumero (BROOKLYN NINE-NINE) will be in attendance to introduce this awesome event, that is, as always, free and open to the public!
In addition, this year ATX Festival is joining the Wear Orange campaign to honor all survivors of gun violence, remember those killed and declare that we must do more to reduce gun violence. Wear Orange began with the friends of Hadiya Pendleton, a 15-year-old Chicago high school student killed by gunfire. After her death, her classmates decided to honor her life by wearing orange – the color hunters wear in the woods to protect themselves and others. Since then, orange has been the defining color of the gun violence prevention movement.

TV Under the Stars is an outdoor screening and music showcase that's part of the annual ATX Television Festival, a four-day event that celebrates the television medium: looking back at its history, where it is now, and where it is headed. The festival consists of panels, screenings, and events where attendees and leaders in the TV industry talk, watch, and experience television together as one community.
Heading into our 8th Season, June 6 - 9, 2019, ATX focuses on TV’s past, current, and upcoming series through screening Q&As and panel discussions. This Programming ranges from never picked up pilots, reunions, current series going into a new season, to premiering content from upfronts, summer, or online. With 50/50 split between fan and industry, ATX Television Festival is a unique festival event that stems from a true celebration of the medium.
Check out all the awesome Programming we have planned and learn more about Badges & Tickets.
We hope to see you in June!

Pop melodies studied in “the dream of the ‘90s…” Ethereal rock. Hints of shoegaze in the guitar work. Earworm rhythms. Austin, TX-based indie pop band March and Beauty will sound familiar to well-traveled listeners, though you’ll never be able to quite put your finger on why their sounds warm the center of your chest with nostalgia for unrequited loves and that time before innocence lost.
"Upbeat indie rock with a post punk feel, March and Beauty elevates the standard formula with tasty hooks and tight musicianship." -The Austinot
Kevin Fox is well-known for compelling his audience to cut loose and have a good time. His band out of Austin, TX has been providing musical entertainment across the U.S. and internationally since 2009 and has recorded on Grammy nominated albums. The music inspires their listeners to dance, so their venues are well-attended by local dancing groups. Kevin Fox, lead singer and guitarist has been performing shows since his teenage years still pushes forward with new songs and new fans. Inspired by true events, the songs on the three albums "Hot Rod Mama", "Til we Drop" and Deuce Coupe Kevin Fox" were written by Kevin Fox and are currently spun worldwide. Nancy LeBarbiera of Music Initiative Magazine writes: "Of their originals, I enjoyed their originals, I enjoyed their newest, 'Hot Rod Mama', with its originality and straight forward lyrics. The lyrically sexy 'Hot' not only made me hot, but made me hone in my swing dancing skills." Kevin creates many different styles of music and songwriting but is always working on something new.
This event is free and open to both ATX attendees and the general public. There will be no Single Tickets available for this event (because free), and you don't need to have your ATX Badge or Wristband to attend. However, as always, please note admission to all ATX events is subject to venue capacity.
And last, but not least, don't forget to stick to The ATX Way. If you spot an ATX Panelist in the wild, remember, no crowding, and any asking for signatures or photos should be kept to a minimum. If you engage anyone, Panelist or attendee, in a disrespectful or inappropriate manner, we reserve the right to remove you without re-entry.
